2024 was the launch year for DataKit, and we had great progress. We wrapped the year with support for displaying WP_Query
results in a DataView, adding caching, adding access control on a per-view level, and more.
The DataKit project remains active and we have lots of cool things planned for 2025.
Distribution
Having a great codebase is good, but it’s hard to reach people if they have to clone and build a GitHub repo!
We’re going to be distributing the DataKit plugin (100% free) from our website soon; stay tuned.
More data sources
Displaying form plugin submissions
In addition to the form plugins Gravity Forms and WS Form, we are nearly ready to add the following form data sources:
- Elementor Forms
- Fluent Forms
- Forminator
- WPForms
Working on a user interface
The DataKit interface enables you to build out reporting dashboards with multiple data sources. At the same time, this interface scales nicely to the individual views of data that are easy to build using DataKit.
The application will take some time to build, but we’re excited to begin working on it!
A big year
2025 is shaping up to be a huge year for DataKit. We’re excited to keep iterating. Make sure to subscribe to stay updated!
